The Registrar may at any time require any moneylender or credit grantor or lessor to furnish him with any information, duly certified as correct by any person registered as an accountant and auditor under the Public Accountants' and Auditors' Act, 1951 (Act No. 51 of 1951), if the Registrar requires such certification, relating to any of such moneylender's money lending transactions or credit grantor's credit transactions or lessor's leasing transactions, and if the moneylender or credit grantor or lessor fails to furnish the Registrar within 30 days after receipt of a written request from the Registrar, or within such further period thereafter as the Registrar may allow, with any information demanded by the Registrar, such moneylender or credit grantor or lessor shall be guilty of an offence.
