6. Principles

6.1	The Language Policy of the DFFE is based on the following principles:

6.1.1

Functional multilingualism - language preference(s), use and proficiency of the target audience; a broad acceptance of linguistic diversity; and recognition of linguistic human rights (language rights);

6.1.2

Social justice; and

6.1.3

Batho Pele principles.
