1.Check rear-view mirrors.
2.Decelerate.
3.Check blind spot, if applicable.
4.Position, if applicable.
5.Brake.
6.Select the appropriate gear, if applicable.
7.Stop.

 

 

Note A:

 

At a four-way stop, yield to pedestrians and vehicles, which arrived at the intersection first.

 

Note B:

 

At a scholar patrol crossing, only proceed when the stop sign has been removed and if safe to do so.
