1) | A sterilising plant must comply with the general requirements for premises, structures and equipment set out in regulations 8 to 18. |
2) | The premises of a sterilising plant must be fenced and secured so as to prevent the entry of unauthorized persons, vehicles and animals, and must include- |
a) | unclean areas, comprising the rooms in which material is received, stored or prepared for sterilising as well as the entrance to the sterilising apparatus; and |
b) | clean areas, comprising the rooms in which the sterilized material is dried, milled or otherwise prepared, packed, stored or dispatched. |
3) | A solid wall must separate the unclean and clean areas, and there may be no direct contact between these areas. |
