91.10.16 Total final CO2 offsetting requirements for given compliance period with emissions reductions from use of CORSIA eligible fuels

(1) The amount of CO2 emissions required to be offset by an aeroplane operator, after considering emissions reductions from the use of CORSIA eligible fuels from 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2035 given compliance period, shall be calculated by the Authority using the requirements prescribed in Document SA-CATS 91.

 

(2) Where an aeroplane operator’s total final offsetting requirements during a compliance period FORc is negative, the negative offsetting requirements shall not be carried forward to subsequent compliance periods and such an aeroplane operator shall have no offsetting requirements for the compliance period.

 

(3) The total final offsetting requirements of an aeroplane operator shall, during a compliance period FORc, be rounded up to the nearest tonne of CO2.

 

(4) The Director shall inform an aeroplane operator, of its total final offsetting requirements, for a compliance period, according to the timelines for the given compliance period 2019 to 2020 as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 91.
