Subpart 3 : Grade One and Grade Two Aircraft Maintenance Instructor Ratings

66.03.5 Application for instructor rating

(1)An application for the issuing of a Grade One or Grade Two aircraft maintenance instructor rating shall be made to the Director in the appropriate prescribed form.

 

(2)The application referred to in subregulation (1) shall be accompanied by—
(a)in the case of Grade One AME instructor rating—
(i)original or certified proof of—
(aa)the identity document of the applicant;

(bb) compliance with the requirements referred to in regulation 66.03.1(d), (e) and (f); and

(cc)the applicant's competency to exercise the privileges referred to in regulation 66.03.8;
(ii)a certified true copy of the AME licence held by the applicant; and
(iii)the appropriate fee as prescribed in Part 187;
(b)in the case of Grade Two AME instructor rating—
(i) original or certified proof of—
(aa)the identity document of the applicant;
(bb)the servicing and overhaul experience record of the applicant;
(ii)original or certified proof that the applicant has passed the theoretical knowledge examination referred to in regulation 66.03.3;
(iii)a certified true copy of the AME licence held by the applicant; and
(iv)the appropriate fee as prescribed in Part 187.
