21.01.2 Types of aircraft

(1)For the purposes of this Part, the types of aircraft are—
(a)a glider, a power-assisted glider, and a touring glider;
(b)a very light aeroplane;
(c)an aeroplane of normal, utility, acrobatic and commuter category;
(d)an aeroplane of the transport category;
(e)a rotorcraft of the normal category;
(f)a rotorcraft of the transport category;
(g)a manned free balloon;
(h)a non-rigid airship; and
(i)an ornithopter.

(2)The airworthiness design standards for each type of aircraft referred to in subregulation (1), are those referred to in regulation 21.02.3.
