(1) | When required. a meteorological service provider shall use an automated pre-flight information system to— |
(a) | supply and display meteorological information to an air service operator and flight crew members for self-briefing, flight planning, and flight documentation purposes; and |
(b) | provide for harmonized, common point of access to meteorological information and aeronautical information services information by an air service operator and flight crew members. |
(2) | A meteorological service provider shall establish procedures for quality management of meteorological information provided by means of an automated pre-flight information system in accordance with its quality management system principles. |
(3) | An automated pre-flight information system referred to in subregulation (1) shall be approved by the Director prior to its use. |
(4) | The meteorological information to be supplied or displayed to users using an automated pre-flight information system shall comply with the requirements set out in Document SA-CATS 174. |
