(1) | Aerodrome climatological summaries shall be prepared by the meteorological service provider in accordance with the procedures prescribed by WMO. |
(2) | Aerodrome climatological summaries shall provide for the— |
(a) | frequencies of the occurrence of runway visual range or visibility and height of the base of the lowest cloud layer of broken or overcast extent below specified values at specified times; |
(b) | frequencies of visibility below specified values at specified times; |
(c) | frequencies of the height of the base of the lowest cloud layer of broken or overcast extent below specified values at specified times; |
(d) | frequencies of occurrence of concurrent wind direction and speed within specified ranges; |
(e) | frequencies of surface temperature in specified ranges of 5°C at specified times; and |
(f) | mean values and variations including maximum and minimum values of meteorological elements required for operational planning purposes, including take-off performance calculations. |
(3) | Where computer facilities are available to store, process, and retrieve the information, aerodrome climatological summaries shall be published or otherwise made available to aeronautical users on request. |
(4) | Where computer facilities referred to in subregulation (2) are not available, aerodrome climatological summaries shall be prepared using the models specified by WMO and shall be published and kept up to date as necessary. |
