(1) | On a licenced aerodrome fuel may be supplied to aircraft only at a place and in a manner approved by an aerodrome operator and in compliance with the requirements prescribed in Document SA-CATS 139, and subject to such conditions as such operator may consider necessary to safe guard persons or property on the aerodrome. |
(2) | An aerodrome operator shall have a refuelling procedure available at the aerodrome as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 139. |
(3) | An aerodrome operator shall ensure that the refuelling procedure referred to in subregulation (2) is distributed to fuelling operators approved for the specific aerodrome and ensure that these operators are conversant with the procedure. |
(4) | And aerodrome operator shall institute measures— |
(a) | to periodically monitor the refuelling process to ensure that compliance with the agreed procedure is maintained; and |
(b) | to address an identified non-conformance and keep records thereof. |
(5) | An aerodrome operator shall ensure that fixed installation refuelling facilities are provided with emergency cut-off switches that are clearly marked and situated in areas where it can be reached without danger to persons in the event of an emergency. |
(6) | An aerodrome operator shall ensure that all fuelling facilities are equipped with adequate and well maintained firefighting equipment. |
