(1) | An operator and, where appropriate, the PIC of any aeroplane operated in terms of this Part, shall assign to each flight crew member concerned, the necessary functions to be performed in an emergency or a situation requiring emergency evacuation. |
(2) | The functions referred to in subregulation (1) shall be such as to ensure that any reasonably anticipated emergency can be adequately dealt with and shall take into consideration the possible incapacitation of individual flight crew members. |
(3) | A flight crew member shall not accept an assignment of emergency functions unless such flight crew member has been instructed in the performance of such emergency functions in accordance with the requirements prescribed in Subpart 3 and shall include instruction in the use of all emergency and lifesaving equipment required to be carried. |
