(1) | The Director may require a commercial air transport or general aviation service operator to conduct satisfactory demonstration flights if the helicopter is to be operated in a designated special area, or requires the use of a specialised navigation system, or the scope of the intended operation, in the opinion of the Director, warrants such demonstration flights. |
(2) | The demonstration flights required in terms of subregulation (1) shall be conducted in accordance with the regulations applicable to the type of operation and helicopter used. |
