121.01.2 Admission to flight deck

(1)An air operator and the PIC of any aeroplane operated under this Part, shall ensure that no person, other than the flight crew members assigned to a flight, is admitted to, or carried on the flight deck of the aeroplane unless such person is—
(a)an authorised officer, inspector or authorised person; or
(b)permitted by, and carried in accordance with, the instructions contained in the operations manual referred to in regulation 121.04.2.

 

(2)Notwithstanding subregulation (1), the PIC may, in the interests of safety, deny a person admission to or remove such person from the flight deck. Any decision to deny admission to or remove a person from the flight deck shall be reported to the operator and shall include the reasons for the decision.

 

(3) The admission of any person to the flight deck shall not interfere with the operation of the aeroplane.

 

(4)The PIC shall ensure that any person carried on the flight deck is made familiar with the applicable safety equipment and pertinent operational procedures.
