(1) | An air operator and the PIC of any aeroplane operated under this Part, shall ensure that no person, other than the flight crew members assigned to a flight, is admitted to, or carried on the flight deck of the aeroplane unless such person is— |
(a) | an authorised officer, inspector or authorised person; or |
(b) | permitted by, and carried in accordance with, the instructions contained in the operations manual referred to in regulation 121.04.2. |
(2) | Notwithstanding subregulation (1), the PIC may, in the interests of safety, deny a person admission to or remove such person from the flight deck. Any decision to deny admission to or remove a person from the flight deck shall be reported to the operator and shall include the reasons for the decision. |
(3) | The admission of any person to the flight deck shall not interfere with the operation of the aeroplane. |
(4) | The PIC shall ensure that any person carried on the flight deck is made familiar with the applicable safety equipment and pertinent operational procedures. |
