110.02.4 Application for screener certification

(1)An application for the issuing of a screener certificate shall be—
(a)made to the Director in the prescribed form; and
(b)accompanied by—
(i)a certified true copy of identity document of the applicant;
(ii)a valid medical certificate issued in terms of Part 109;
(iii)original or certified proof that the applicant has passed a theoretical knowledge examination referred to in this Part;
(iv)copies of practical training reports, including x-ray or CBT results in case of x-ray training or K9 maintenance training in case of K9 assessment;
(v)proof of completion of OJT as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 110;
(vi)proof of payment of the appropriate fee as prescribed in Part 187;
(vii)two recent passport size photographs of the applicant;
(viii)a certified copy of a grade 12, NQF level 4 certificate or equivalent qualification; and
(ix)explosive dog micr9o-chip number.

(2)Application for a screener certificate shall be submitted to the Director no later than three months after passing the theoretical knowledge examination referred to in regulation 110.02.3.
