(1) | The Director may designate a validator of known consignors to conduct inspections on known consignors for the purpose of issuing, renewal and reissuing of certificates of accreditation. |
(2) | The privileges referred to in subregulation (1) shall be exercised and performed according to the conditions, requirements, rules, procedures or standards as prescribed in Document SA-CATS 108. |
(3) | The Director shall sign and issue to each designated validator a document which shall state the full names of such validator and contain a statement stating that— |
(a) | such validator has been designated in terms of subregulation (1); and |
(b) | such validator is empowered to exercise the privileges referred to in subregulation (1). |
(4) | An application to be considered for designation as referred to in subregulation (1) shall be accompanied by the appropriate fee as prescribed in Part 187. |
