101.05.12 Night operations

(1)A UA may not be operated at night except—
(a)in R-VLOS operation; or
(b)as approved by the Director in terms of subregulation (2).

 

(2)A UA may only be operated at night by a holder of a UASOC if such a UA has been approved for night operation by the Director and—
(a) such approval is reflected on such UASOC holder’s OpSpec; and
(b) such operation shall comply with the requirements prescribed in Documents SA-CATS 101.

 

(3)A UA may not be operated at night in controlled airspace except as approved by the Director and as provided for in regulation 101.05.3
