101.02.1 UAS letter of approval

(1)A UAS shall not be operated within the Republic, unless such UAS has been issued with a UASLA by the Director.

 

(2)An application for the issuance or renewal of a UASLA shall be made to the Director on the appropriate form and be accompanied by the appropriate fee as prescribed in Part 187.

 

(3)The Director shall issue a UASLA if an applicant complies with the requirements prescribed in regulation 101.02.2.

 

(4)A UASLA shall be valid for a period of 12 months.
